The importance of planning

Planning is a vital stage of the home gym design process for new builds, renovations, extensions or one off room refurbishments.

Involving a gym designer during the build process and specifying the home gym design in advance ensures a smooth process and will prevent any future delays.

As specialists, we will highlight important factors to consider such as the location of AV and power supplies, positioning of machines, the correct flooring for specific exercises, ceiling and wall reinforcements for equipment with fixtures. These are only to name a few!

OUR HOME GYM DESIGN PROCESS

In the initial stages of the home gym design process, we will conduct a site visit, along with an in-depth discussion with our client. Finding out favourite gym equipment, fitness capabilities and goals, particular design elements and overall expectations.

With access to all major fitness brands and manufacturers, clients can choose from an unlimited selection of equipment. Our range includes Technogym, LifeFitness, NOHrD, Eleiko and many more machines perfect for a home gym design.

Following the consultation, our designers will produce a 2D layout of the home gym design, a completely free of charge service.

Once the design is signed off, our drawings will soon become reality as we begin to plan the installation.

Installing a home gym

As with every stage of our home gym design process, the installation is completely scheduled around our clients. All gym equipment can be held in our warehouse, allowing everything to be delivered all in one go.

We understand that with many projects, delays can happen. Our flexibility with clients gives them peace of mind during a time that can be stressful.

When the site is ready, our experienced engineers will travel to install and will offer a detailed handover once the gym is complete.

A home gym design project never finishes for Gym Marine Interiors, as we provide after sales support including annual servicing, emergency repairs, new equipment requests or even a personalised training plan from a fitness trainer!

BESPOKE GYM EQUIPMENT

When selecting gym equipment to feature in your home gym design, it is all down to personal preference. However in some cases, when there is a specific colour, material or design that is needed, bespoke is the only answer.

For custom gym equipment, our sister company Paragon, designs and manufactures bespoke products. Their pieces are the height of luxury when it comes to gym equipment, made with sustainable, premium quality materials.

Bespoke home gym equipment doesn’t necessarily mean a large price tag. We work closely with manufacturers to design affordable equipment pieces for all home gym designs. These include weight racks for awkward corners or space restrictions, as well as custom storage solutions to hold a variety of home gym accessories.
