The 6 Best WooCommerce Lightbox and Quick View Plugins

Lightboxes are an amazing way to boost conversions and show off your products.

In this collection, there are two different types of lightbox plugins for WooCommerce.

Some of the plugins here will add a lightbox button to the images on the product pages. This will let visitors see larger, full-screen views of the product images.

The other plugins listed here will create “quick views” which are lightboxes with the complete product info and “add to cart” buttons. These lightboxes are launched from the shop page rather than the product pages.

Regardless of which type you’re after, you’ll find some excellent recommendations here.

Here are my top picks for the best WooCommerce lightbox plugins.

  • 1. WooCommerce Quick View Pro

    WooCommerce Quick View Pro Plugin

    Plugin Description

Barn2 analyzed everything that store owners want from a WooCommerce lightbox and designed the ultimate quick view plugin. WooCommerce Quick View Pro was the result.

As well as being easy to use, it has plenty of features – including options that you don’t get from other quick view plugins. For example, it has 3 layout options, and you can choose whether to show product images (e.g., for a popup image gallery), product information only, or both. You have full control over the WooCommerce lightbox content and can even display extra information such as the full product description and reviews. The lightbox has a stylish and modern design and looks fantastic in all themes.

An extra benefit of using WooCommerce Quick View Pro is that it integrates with dozens of other plugins. For example, you can use it with Product Add-Ons and allow customers to select extra product options from the WooCommerce lightbox. This speeds up the buying experience because customers don’t have to visit a separate page for each product.

  • WooCommerce Gallery Images

    View plugin now

    Plugin Description

This is the best plugin for adding lightboxes to WooCommerce because it is easy to use, has a nice set of customization features included, and is available for a very affordable cost.

With WooCommerce Gallery Images, you get a few new options. First of all, you can upload more images for your product variations. In fact, you can add as many as you’d like for each variation, which can help your conversion rates. This feature alone makes it worth a purchase, but of course, there’s more.

WooCommerce Gallery Images also adds a lightbox and zoom feature to your site. The lightbox is accessible via a small button overlaying the main product image and opens with a click.

Overall, it’s a simple product, but it’s highly-rated by customers for being a simple and effective way to add lightboxes to WooCommerce products and their variations.

  • 3. WooCommerce Quick View

    WooCommerce Quick View (CodeCanyon)

    View plugin now

    Plugin Description

WooCommerce Quick View is a slick and modern plugin to add a lightbox to WooCommerce. Here’s how it works…

From the main shop page or any product archives, customers can click on a product image to open the “quick view” lightbox. Unlike other plugins that only show the image in the lightbox, this plugin includes all of the product’s essential info. This includes the title, price, description, and the ability to adjust the quantity and add it to their cart. There is a “more info” button as well, which will take visitors to the complete product page.

The animation that opens the lightbox is really slick too. There are three different views to choose from, including a fullscreen lightbox and an inline quick view.

This WooCommerce plugin comes with a premium price tag, but it’s well worth it, in my opinion, for the quality of the lightbox and the improvement, it will have on your eCommerce conversions.

  • 4. Smart Product Viewer

    Smart Product Viewer

    Plugin Description

Smart Product Viewer probably isn’t what you had in mind, but give it a chance because it’s pretty awesome.

With Smart Product Viewer, you can do a lot more than add a lightbox (and yes, it does let visitors open product images in a lightbox). This plugin lets you upload a series of images for a product and transform them into a spinning 360-degree viewer. You don’t have to upload a 3d model or do anything fancy to make it work. All you need to do is take a handful of photographs of your product, rotating it a bit between each photo. This plugin will work its magic to turn the photos into a 3d viewer.

This plugin can add a lightbox for a close-up view of the images. You can also insert 360-degree views of products into any page on your site using the shortcode.

Smart Product Viewer might be more than you’re looking for, but if you want to give visitors a really detailed look at your products, then you’ll find it to be an incredible asset for your WooCommerce store.

  • 5. WooCommerce Zoomifier

    WooCommerce Zoomifier

    View plugin now

    Plugin Description

WooCommerce Zoomifier is one of the best plugins for adding a lightbox to your product images. It’s an affordable purchase and adds a few helpful image viewing features to WooCommerce.

First of all, this plugin adds a lightbox button to your product images that visitors can click to open. The icon used for the button and where it’s positioned over the image are both customizable. Alternatively, you can disable the button allowing visitors to click anywhere on the image to open the lightbox.

Second, as the name implies, this plugin also adds a zooming option similar to what you may have seen on Amazon product pages. As you move your cursor over an image, a box beside it will show a large close-up of that area. You could use this plugin for the lightbox only, but the zoom is a really nice addition. WooCommerce Zoomifier also includes a ton of customization options, including adjusting the zoom animation and style of the zoom popup.

  • 6. WooCommerce Quick View

    WooCommerce Quick View

    View plugin now

    Plugin Description

Here’s another plugin called “WooCommerce Quick View,” which is cheaper but a lot less flexible and stylish than the one available on CodeCanyon.

The best part about this plugin is its simplicity. All you have to do is install it to get it running. It will add a “Quick View” button to your products on the archive pages that visitors can click to open up a preview of the product. The preview includes all of the basic product info and the ability to add it to the cart.

While easy to set up, you might find the features in this plugin too limiting. There isn’t any way to modify the style or other aspects of the lightbox. That said, there are some nice developer options, so if you’re familiar with plugin and theme code, you might appreciate this plugin a lot more.
